Key requirements:
5+ years of commercial experience in Scala backend development
Strong experience building and maintaining scalable backend applications
Solid background in system performance tuning and optimization
Practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor)
Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues
Strong understanding of backend engineering best practices and software design principles
Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Good command of English (min. B2)
Work from the European Union region and a work permit are requiredNice to have:
Experience applying GenAI in a structured way within the SDLC (workflows, prompt patterns, tool integrations)
Familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (agent-based workflows, AI-augmented development)

Developing and enhancing microservices using Java and Kotlin
Designing, developing, and modifying REST APIs and backend mocks
Building web components, purchase flows, and registration processes using React
Working across both backend and frontend areas, adapting to changing project needs
Integrating solutions with external business partners and supporting partner-facing functionalities
Collaborating with the team to deliver new features quickly and efficiently
Contributing to the continuous improvement of the product and technical solutions
Occasional visits to the Warsaw office (1-2 days per quarter)

Good knowledge of Java and Kotlin
Practical experience working with microservice architecture
Hands-on experience with React and modern JavaScript
Good knowledge of HTML and CSS
Solid understanding of REST API design and consumption
Practical experience working with JSON
Practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor)
Good communication and collaboration skills
English at min. B2 level, Polish at min. B1 level

Czym będziesz się zajmować?

Owning development and maintenance of the AI layer supporting business analytics, including Talk2Data and agent-ready data
Defining, implementing and testing analytical components of Talk2Data – from specification and business validation to release
Building and improving the evaluation framework for AI response quality: metrics, representative Q&A pairs, ground truth and quality monitoring over time
Translating business needs, use cases and rules into requirements, acceptance criteria and analytical specifications
Collaborating with Data Engineers on dimensional data models (star schema), data quality checks, merge request reviews and deployments
Working with large datasets and cloud data platforms to validate data quality, structure and suitability for AI-powered analytics
Collaborating with Product Leads, Business Owners and stakeholders on data ownership and governance standards
Preparing presentations, guidelines and materials for technical and non-technical audiences
Facilitating enablement initiatives such as AI Office Hours and sessions with Product Leads
Improving Talk2Data quality and performance by analysing user feedback, product analytics and evaluation results
Driving adoption of Talk2Data and AI-assisted analytics across the organization

At least 5 years of experience in an analytical role
Strong background in business analytics, data engineering or a related discipline
Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with large datasets in cloud data platforms
Comprehensive understanding of data warehousing concepts, including dimensional data modelling and ETL/ELT processes
Hands-on experience with LLM-based AI tools, such as Claude or similar
Practical understanding of how AI assistants are built and evaluated (quality metrics, Q&A datasets, ground truth, performance monitoring)

Leading and actively participating in the Discovery phase, including facilitating workshops with stakeholders
Working across the entire design process — from initial concepts and requirements through to implementation
Designing complex user journeys with multiple entry points and dependencies across teams and stakeholders
Creating both quick interactive mockups and complex, high-fidelity prototypes
Working within a mature, complex Design System and assessing when existing patterns should be used or when custom solutions are required
Using UX metrics and data to identify problems, validate assumptions, and support design decisions
Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Analysts, Developers, and other stakeholders
Proactively identifying improvements and proposing effective solutions
Presenting and confidently defending design decisions
